How to Use Beeswax Food Wraps

Beeswax food wraps are a natural and eco-friendly alternative to plastic wrap that can be used to cover and preserve food.

Here’s how to use them:

Choose the right size: Select a wrap that is large enough to cover the food item you want to wrap, but not so large that it is difficult to handle.

Warm up the wrap: Hold the beeswax wrap in your hands for a few seconds to warm it up. The warmth of your hands will make the wrap more pliable and easier to work with.

Cover the food: Place the wrap over the food item you want to cover and use your hands to mold the wrap around the food. The warmth of your hands will help the wrap conform to the shape of the food.

Seal the wrap: Use the warmth of your hands to press the edges of the wrap together and create a seal. The natural stickiness of the beeswax will help hold the wrap in place.

Store the food: Once the wrap is securely in place, you can store the food in the refrigerator or on the countertop, depending on the type of food and how long you plan to keep it.

Clean the wrap: After use, wipe the wrap with a damp cloth or wash it in cool water with mild soap. Avoid using hot water, as it can melt the wax and ruin the wrap. Let the wrap air dry and then store it for future use.
